Informations sur le produit "Kitronik All-in-one Robotics Board for BBC micro:bit V1 & V2"

This product is end of life and will only be available as long as it is in stock.  A Replacement can be found here: KIT-5693

Take your microbit robotics builds to the next level with the Kitronik All-in-one Robotics Board for the BBC micro:bit. The All-in-one Robotics Board enables the BBC micro:bit (connected via a standard card slot connector) to drive 4 motors (or 2 stepper motors) and 8 servos. Coupled with 17 other I/O expansion points, this means the BBC micro:bit can very easily become the core of a whole variety of robotics projects.

The Robotics Board features 2 Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver ICs (capable of driving 2 standard motors or 1 stepper motor each) and 8 servo outputs (capable of driving standard and continuous rotation servos), all controlled from the BBC micro:bit using the I2C protocol via a 16-channel driver IC.

The Link header breaks out all the usable pins from the BBC micro:bit, and is designed to allow 2.54mm pitch pin header to be easily soldered into place. The 17 available I/O pins allow other input devices, such as sensors, or output devices, such as ZIP LEDs, to be added to the board. The I2C communication lines are also broken out (Pins 19 & 20), which means other I2C compatible devices can also be added to the board and controlled by the BBC micro:bit.

Power is provided via either a terminal block or servo-style connector, and the board then produces a regulated 3.3V supply which is fed into the 3V and GND connections to power the connected BBC micro:bit, removing the need to power the BBC micro:bit separately. This also provides the reference voltage for the servo signal level-shift ICs. The 3V and GND pins are also broken out on the Link header, which means external devices can also be powered.

To use the Robotics Board, the BBC micro:bit should be inserted firmly into the edge connector, either way round. If the Link header is being used, the BBC micro:bit LED display should be facing them (see PCB text relating to this).

DC Gearbox Motor - "TT Motor" - 200RPM - 3 to 6VDC
Perhaps you've been assembling a new robot friend, adding a computer for a brain and other fun personality touches. Now the time has come to let it leave the nest and fly on its own wings– err, wheels! These durable (but affordable!) plastic gearbox motors (also known as 'TT' motors) are an easy, low-cost way to get your projects moving. This is a TT DC Gearbox Motor with a gear ratio of 1:48, and it comes with 2 x 200mm wires with breadboard-friendly 0.1" male connectors. Perfect for plugging into a breadboard or terminal blocks. You can power these motors with 3VDC up to 6VDC, they'll of course go a little faster at the higher voltages. We grabbed one motor and found these stats when running it from a bench-top supply At 3VDC we measured 150mA @ 120 RPM no-load, and 1.1 Amps when stalled At 4.5VDC we measured 155mA @ 185 RPM no-load, and 1.2 Amps when stalled At 6VDC we measured 160mA @ 250 RPM no-load, and 1.5 Amps when stalled Note that these are very basic motors, and have no built-in encoders, speed control or positional feedback. Voltage goes in, rotation goes out! There will be variation from motor to motor, so a separate feedback system is required if you need precision movement.

Low voltage relay for micro:bit (solid state)
The MonkMakes Relay for the BBC microbit is a solid-state (no moving parts) relay that allows an output of a micro:bit to turn things on and off.  A micro:bit can turn an LED on and off directly, but anything more powerful requires something like a relay or a transistor. Using a transistor to switch something on and off requires a shared ground connection with the micro:bit and a knowledge of electronics that you or your students may not be ready for. The MonkMakes Relay for micro:bit is much easier to use, acting like a simple micro:bit controlled switch. This relay can be used to switch low voltage devices such as light bulbs, a motor, a small heating element or even a string of 12V LED lighting. The voltage needs to be kept under 16V, but the relay will automatically protect itself against too much current. Features: Solid-state relay (No moving parts). Resettable polyfuse to protect against over-current. 2A Maximum current. 16V Maximum voltage. Integrated active LED power indicator. Contents: 1 x MonkMakes Relay Board for the BBC micro:bit. Dimensions: Length: 59.3mm. Width: 49mm. Height: 1.6mm. Requires: BBC micro:bit. Crocodile Leads.
