Understanding Thermodynamics with Heat Flux Measurements is a project funded by the Gebert Rüf Foundation. It exists as a collaboration between ETH Zürich and greenTEG AG. The project partners are developing a measurement kit for experiments with heat flux sensors, referred to as gTEACH. The experiments can be performed in schools by students and teachers. They aim at promoting the understanding of thermodynamic principles and, as a result, appreciation of the vital role of heat in our lives. One desired project goal is to increase the students’ awareness of sustainable energy use – an important step towards a more-energy-conscious future.
