L16 Linear Actuator Switch

The L16 series of mini linear actuators is the big brother of the L12 series. It is perfectly suited to applications with tight space and weight restrictions that require more force. It's relatively small size and impressive strength make the L16 a popular choice in industries such as robotics, aerospace, medical devices as well as a wide range of DIY home and automotive applications.

It has an axial design that utilizes a powerful PMDC motor and a rectangular cross section for increased strength. But by far the most attractive feature of this actuator is the broad spectrum of configurations available. Actuonix Motion Devices L16 series is available in three stroke lengths: 50mm 100mm or 140mm along with three force/speed combinations of 35:1, 63:1 or 150:1. 

“R” Series: This is a standard hobby-type remote-control digital servo interface (CMOS logic), compatible with most RC receivers. These units can also be operated via Arduino using the Arduino servo library. The "R" series are a 6v unit only.

“S” Series: These units are operated by reversing polarity on the actuator’s two leads. The “S” series has end of stroke limit switches to that will turn off the unit if it runs into its end stop.These can be run with a DPDT switch, relay and are perfect for home or vehicular automation projects.The L16-S is 12v only. 

“P” Series: The “P” series mini linear actuators offer no built-in control­ler, but do provide an analog position feed­back signal that can be input to an exter­nal controller. The “P” series can be used with our Linear Actuator Control Board (LAC) to give the “P” series the ability to be controlled with USB (via our Configuration Utility Software), 0-3.3v, 4-20mA, RC Servo or PWM. On board adjustment of speed, sensitivity, stroke limits as well as stall protection are available via the LAC. The L16-P is 12v only.
