The external battery cable can be used to connect a 6-Volt lantern battery to a LabPro or CBL 2 interface. With the added power of an external battery, data can be collected for extended periods of time in the field where AC power is not available. The external battery cable consists of a 2.1-mm power plug on one end and two plastic-sleeved alligator clips located at the other end.
Each clip is color coded black for negative (-) and red for positive (+). To use the cable connect the power plug end of the cable to the power port located at the bottom left corner of the LabPro or CBL 2. Next connect the black alligator clip to the – terminal on the lantern battery and the red alligator clip to the + terminal.
