Calliope Mini 3
The Calliope Mini is a small, easily programmable microcontroller that has been specially developed for educational purposes and offers children from the age of 7 a simple and fun introduction to the world of programming and electronics. It is characterized by its user-friendliness, versatility and expandability.
New processors, system optimizations and additional connections make it quick and easy to connect motors, additional sensors and actuators.
New features of Calliope Mini 3
> RGB LED
The Calliope Mini 3 is equipped with 3 RGB LEDs, red, green and blue, which can be controlled together or separately to create magical lighting effects
> Touch pin
On the back of the circuit board, the Calliope Mini 3 has an additional touch pin in the shape of the Calliope logo.
> Microphone
The microphone can measure the volume of the environment as a sensor and in the new version can now also record speech and noises.
> Pin header / motor driver
The new Calliope has a mounted pin header that can be used to easily connect motors and extensions.
This gets things moving in no time at all.
> JacDac
Using the additional JacDac connectors, various modules can be combined as required by simply connecting them in series. E.g. connect buzzers with LED rings and controllers.
> USB->connector
The USB port on the top of the Calliope Mini is the easiest way to transfer your own programs. Now connect the Calliope Mini 3 to your computer with the USB-C cable and you're ready to go!
